Wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do at Saint George. We work hard to achieve a healthy balance of education and development, which encompasses the academic, the social, and the emotional. This holistic approach is reinforced by our warm community, which fosters a strong sense of belonging.
In addition to an expert team of counsellors, we run a variety of group and targeted wellbeing initiatives. These include our Cloud 9 program, which features evidence-based strategies, workshops, and activities that promote self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and resilience. Our Zero Bullying Agreement – signed by all our parents – ensures our campus is a safe and accepting place for everyone.
We prioritize our students’ physical health, too, preparing nutritious meals, offering active opportunities, and providing plenty of spaces – including our Ecological Terrace – where students can relax and socialize with friends.
NURTURING A GENERATION OF GLOBAL CITIZENS
Saint George is a diverse international community that truly embraces multiculturalism. Our students are the next generation of world-changers and – through a range of initiatives – we empower them to make a real difference.
As part of our whole-school commitment to global citizenship and helping others, we encourage our students to support the community projects, charities, and causes that matter to them. From coastal clean-ups to volunteering at a local shelter, our students demonstrate kindness, empathy, and tenacity to uplift others.
In the curriculum, the Creativity, Activity, Service element of the IB Diploma enables our students to take the lead and contribute to local and international communities. These include transformative projects with the Ministerio De Agricultura, Operación Sonrisa, and a local children’s hospital.
