Our outstanding local and international teachers will inspire your child to go further than they ever imagined possible, delivering a world-class education that sets them up for lifelong success.

EMPOWERING YOUR CHILD TO SUCCEED

Diversity is our strength at Saint George. Our school is home to highly qualified and experienced teachers from around the world, who bring a breadth of knowledge to our classrooms. They also share our drive to create an environment that is rich in perspectives and opportunities.

In small class sizes – with an average staff to student ratio of 1 to 7 – our exceptional bilingual educators will take the time to get to know your child’s talents, learning preferences, and goals for the future. They’ll also encourage them to think innovatively and explore ideas beyond conventional boundaries. Our inquiry-based learning approach empowers our students to take intellectual risks and be creative, too, preparing them for the challenge of advanced university study.

Committed to our holistic education philosophy, our teachers will also nurture your child’s happiness and wellbeing, empowering them to become a confident, lifelong learner ready to create their own future.

technology that transforms learning

TEACHER-LED TECHNOLOGY

Our teachers embrace 21st century learning techniques, finding innovative ways to maximise our students’ potential.

Learning comes alive in our Innovation Center, where experts in their field encourage creativity and problem solving. In our state-of-the-art STEAM Maker Space and robotics classroom, for example, the latest software, 3D modelling tools, and design equipment immerses learners in hands-on, experiential learning.

Our students’ education is also enriched by the latest digital platforms. Canvas enables seamless collaboration and content sharing, while BridgeU guides our young people through the university application process. Your child will discover a world of opportunities and connections on Nord Anglia’s trailblazing Global Campus learning platform, too.

HELPING OUR TEACHERS GROW

As a community, we strive for excellence in everything we do. This ethos is driven by Saint George’s passionate teaching team. Through lesson observations, the sharing of best practice, and open discussions at weekly meetings, our staff continually reflect on and refine what we do. Their breadth of global experience unlocks new ideas and approaches, too.

All our IBDP teachers take part in regular subject-specific training through the International Baccalaureate Organization. This ensures they’re at the cutting-edge of IB methodologies, assessment procedures, and content. Our staff also have access to sector-leading courses and resources on the award-winning Nord Anglia University training platform.

SETTING THE BAR HIGH

The quality of our teachers is felt in our classrooms – and evidenced by our students’ holistic growth and success.

We undertake a comprehensive recruitment process, which includes multiple interviews, lesson demonstrations, a Personality and Aptitude Inventory test, and strict background checks via the TES Global Platform. This ensures we not only select the highest quality individuals, but also that their principles and values align with our educational ethos.

Our exceptional teaching standards are upheld by the Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic and New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). We’re also a member of the Council of International Schools. As part of the Nord Anglia Education (NAE) family, we also benefit from the guidance of world-leading experts from the NAE Education Advisory Board.
