Little Lions playgroup - an introduction to Early Primary at Regents International School Pattaya

Little Lions playgroup at Regents International School Pattaya is a specialised programme tailored for toddlers from birth to 2 years of age. The programme offers a blend of indoor and outdoor activities designed to foster toddlers intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development in a nurturing environment together with parents or guardians and highly qualified teachers.

Our Little Lions playgroup emphasise learning through play, providing a safe and engaging environment for young children.

The sessions are held on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:20 am to 10:20 am. Activities include role-play, creative arts and crafts, physical play, sand and water play, sensory exploration, music sessions, swimming, dance, and outdoor exploration. These activities aim to promote intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development.

Highlights of our Little Lions playgroup

• Diverse activities: The programme includes a mix of indoor and outdoor sessions, promoting various aspects of child development.  

• Forest School sessions: On Fridays, the playgroup visits our Forest School on campus. The session is led by our qualified Forest School Leader, providing unique learning experiences in nature.  

• Social networking for both children and parents: The playgroup offers parents opportunities to meet other parents, creating a supportive community and easing integration into Regents’ environment.  

Supporting transition to Pre-Nursery and Early Primary
Participating in Little Lions support both children and parents in the transition to Pre-Nursery:

• Children and parents have a chance to get familiar with the school environment and the EYFS curriculum: Regular attendance helps children become accustomed to the school’s setting, routines, and staff, making the transition easier.  

• Children start early to developing their social skills: Interactions with peers and other adults in the playgroup setting encourage the development of essential social skills, such as sharing, communication, and cooperation.  

• Children will start to establishing routines: The structured activities and schedules in the playgroup are similar to those in the first year of Early Primary, helping children adapt to new routines smoothly.  
  
  By participating in Little Lions playgroup, many families experience a smoother transition to first years of Early Primary, with children developing fundamental skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

Date and time: Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8.20-10.20am (except during school holidays).

Location: Early Primary building

Price: 300 THB to be paid on arrival.

Children must be accompanied by a maximum of two parents or carers. Healthy snacks are provided during each session, and children receive a Little Lions T-shirt. Parents can choose to attend any of the sessions and pay per visit.
