Regents International School Pattaya entry requirements
Regents is a non-selective school that’s open to children aged from 2 to 18. With the exception of students joining us in Years 10-13, we accept admissions all year round – your child can start at any time during the academic year.
Application and supporting documents
After filling in our enquiry form and taking a tour – either in person or virtually – you’ll need to complete your child’s online form and pay our application fee.
You’ll also need to provide the following information:
- A copy of your child’s birth certificate or passport.
- A copy of your passport(s).
- A passport-style photo of your child.
- A passport-style photo of you.
- Copies of your child’s two most recent school reports.
- Where applicable, a copy of any educational psychologist or medical reports that will help us understand how we can meet your child’s learning needs.
- A photocopy of your House Registration (Thai nationals only).
Assessment
After receiving your form and documents, we’ll invite your child to an age-appropriate assessment. Although we’re a non-selective school, we want to make sure we can fully meet your child’s learning needs.
The assessment will typically take place in school. However, in some cases, we can arrange for it to take place in your current country of residence.
Early years
Your child will take part in a fun 60-minute ‘taster’ session in the classroom. This will give both you and our teachers the chance to confirm your child is happy and comfortable here. Please note, we ask that children are no longer breast- or bottle-fed when they join us.
Primary
We’ll assess your child’s written and spoken English, as well as their understanding across key academic areas. If your child has not yet met the Head of Primary, we’ll arrange for this to happen as part of their assessment.
Secondary and sixth form
Your child will sit an online cognitive ability assessment, followed by a written English test (for those students who have English as an Additional Language (EAL) needs). If your child has not yet met the Head of Secondary, we’ll organise this as part of their assessment.
Offering your child a place
We’ll send you a written offer confirming your child’s place within 72 hours of the assessment. You’ll need to accept the offer and pay our enrolment fee within two weeks.
