The countdown is now officially on and there are nineteen days until I take up the exciting and challenging role of School Principal at Regents International School Pattaya. Over the last few months I have worked closely with various members of staff from Regents, including Mr. Grant Gilles, Acting School Principal and Ms. Kirsty Paiboontanasin, Director of Operations. I have been delighted and very impressed with the level of professionalism, collaboration and collegiality. I feel very privileged to have been selected to lead the Regents team and join such a wonderful community.
We have worked diligently on the detailed planning of school development projects that will take place over the summer and the preparation for teacher training in August. Our aim is to have a strong, positive and powerful start to the school year. We look forward to welcoming all community members with open arms and embracing new teachers, students and families.
As I reflect on my career in international education and leadership, I look forward to arriving in Pattaya. I am full of hope, excitement and anticipation. I love the fact that each year, a school is blessed with the opportunity to have a new beginning, a fresh start. The opportunity to work with new colleagues; study with new friends, learn new concepts and explore new experiences, sports and challenges.
Although I will be new at Regents, I do not view joining Regents as a new beginning but rather as a continuation of a journey. After 21 years in education and leading three different successful International Schools, Regents already feels like home.
Ms. Sarah Osborne-James
School Principal
