Music Scholarships now available for students seeking an international school education
Regents recently launched a scholarship programme, with funding covering a range of areas - academic, drama, music, art and golf. The Scholarships will be worth up to 100% of the boarding and tuition fees. Music scholarships are now available to those students who show promise in pursuing the subject music, but above all can demonstrate impeccable standards of work ethic and an ambition to succeed.
This move coincides with several other initiatives coming to fruition. Almost 300 million baht (USD 8.4 million) will have been invested in the school by the end of this year, giving scholars access to the finest school facilities on the Eastern Seaboard of Thailand. One of the most exciting developments has been the refurbishment of the Sports Hall, which will also offer yet another venue for the school’s burgeoning Performing Arts activities.
Since September, Regents has been the only boarding school in the world collaborating with the world-renowned Juilliard School in New York, which provides students with a curriculum devised by some of the finest performing arts educators in the world. Regents has also introduced the Global Campus, a programme which offers unparalleled learning opportunities to those students who attend one of the 42 Nord Anglia Education schools worldwide.
In particular, the new Music Scholarships are available for students who are able to demonstrate that they have the creativity, initiative and technique required to attain high standards in one or more of those fields. Scholars will be expected to play a leading role in the co-curricular activities available across the creative and performing arts.
Music scholarships will be available to Year 10 (GCSE) and Year 12 (IB Diploma) students, who will be assessed via a combination of audition and interview. In order to provide opportunities to as wide a range of students as possible, these scholarships will be open to both internal and external candidates, and will cover both day scholars and boarding students.
