The big news this week from Regents International School Pattaya is the opening of the school’s Sports Hall, which has been transformed over the past five months.
With new floors, cushioned walls, basketball hoops, electronic score boards and – best of all – air conditioning, the Sports Hall offers boarding and day students an outstanding venue for Physical Education lessons. At the touch of a button, a sliding partition divides the huge space into two standard size gyms, which gives the teachers the flexibility to run two very different activities simultaneously.
A new artificial sports pitch adjacent to the Sports Hall is in the final stages of construction and will open by 1 December 2015. Together, these two new facilities, along with the All-Weather Running Track installed in 2014 and the School Swimming Pool create a complex of facilities designed to encourage pupils to develop a life-long love of sport.
At Regents, our specialist staff are experts at creating personalised support programmes for students with additional educational needs. That’s why, throughout October we are celebrating Dyslexia and ADHD Awareness Month.
