NB-PA Eagle Challenge November Kindness Winners!
The NB-PA congratulates the following students as winners of the November Kindness Challenge. We're inspired by their acts of kindness!
Lower School: 3rd Grader Kyler Thiel is in his fourth year at NBPS. Read how Kyler showed kindness by helping a neighbor:
"A neighbor posted on Nextdoor App that they were collecting gifts for 2 families who have been affected by Covid and didn't have any money to buy gifts for their kids for Christmas. They were asking for food instead of toys. So we picked out toys for each of the kids and gave the mom a gift and a Publix gift card for food. We hope that it helps make their holidays better."
Middle School: 7th Grader Beny Papescu is in his fourth year at NBPS. Read how Beny showed kindness to a younger boy at a wake park:
"It was a really beautiful day, and because of it, the wake park was insanely full. I had just gotten there, and after waiting in line, it was finally my turn. As I was grabbing the rope that was going to pull me, I saw a boy younger than me begging his mom to let him go one last round. The mother said “the line is way too big; I can't wait any longer!”. Since I still had 2 hours, I told the boy to switch places with me so that he could ski one more lap. He happily went."
High School: 9th Grader Jacques Papescu is in his fourth year at NBPS. Read how Jacques showed kindness to his brother's friend and the lesson he learned:
"A couple of weeks ago, my family and a few others met up. All the kids were riding their bikes around, but my brother’s friend didn’t know how to, and was feeling left out. I decided to take some time that day and teach her the basics. She learned quickly and realized how much she enjoyed riding bikes. She later went after learning more and now rides with us whenever we meet up. This experience taught me how a simple act of kindness can make someone happier, and sometimes reveal a passion."
