Upper Primary Summer Concert

The young stars of Léman International School's Upper Primary take center stage on June 4, 2024 for a spectacular Summer Concert like no other! In a celebration of talent, creativity, and boundless enthusiasm, our students showcased their musical prowess and artistic flair in an unforgettable performance that captivated audiences of proud parents. From inspiring vocal to amazing violin ensembles, and captivating pop group performance, culminating in a high energy finale, the summer concert left everyone with smiles on their faces and melodies in their hearts.  

The talented students of Year 4A delivered a mesmerizing performance of Mozart's Sonata No. 11. With a fusion of recorder and piano melodies echoing through the auditorium, this enchanting ensemble showcased the remarkable talent and dedication of the young musicians. 

Year 4B choir wowed audiences with their heartfelt rendition of the original piece "Now Is Now." With voices lifted in harmony, they captured the essence of the moment, weaving a tapestry of emotion and melody. The students poured their hearts into every note, infusing the performance with sincerity and depth. As the final strains lingered in the air, there was a palpable sense of unity and inspiration, reminding us all to embrace the beauty of the present moment. 

Year 5A mesmerized the audience with their captivating performance of the popular song "Budapest," showcasing their diverse talents in ukulele, djembe, vocals, and piano. With each instrument adding its unique flavour to the melody, the ensemble created a vibrant and dynamic sound that filled the room with energy and excitement. Led by their skilled instructors, the students delivered a seamless performance that was both soulful and uplifting, leaving the audience spellbound from start to finish. It was a true testament to their musical prowess and collaborative spirit, earning them resounding applause and admiration. 

Year 5B took the audience on a magical journey with their enchanting performance of the original song "Magic Carpet." Through their heartfelt vocals and captivating melodies, they painted a vivid picture of adventure and wonder, evoking a sense of joy and imagination in all who listened. With each note, they transported listeners to distant lands and fantastical realms, weaving a tale of dreams and discovery. Led by their dedicated instructors, the students delivered a performance that was as spellbinding as it was unforgettable, leaving everyone in awe of their talent and creativity. It was a moment of pure magic that truly showcased the extraordinary abilities of Year 5B. 

Year 5's pop group set the stage ablaze with their electrifying rendition of the chart-topping hit "Dance Monkey." With a dynamic ensemble featuring ukulele, drums, electronic keyboard, and powerful vocals, they brought a fresh and infectious energy to the beloved song Their seamless blend of instruments and voices created a groove that had everyone dancing along, making it a performance to remember.  

Year 6A's Jenney and Year 2's Moosa showcased extraordinary talent and dedication as they claimed the title of Global winners at the Virtual Young Musician of the Year 2023/2024 competition. Jenney's piano performance was a masterclass in precision and expression, captivating audiences with her virtuosity and musical maturity. Meanwhile, Moosa's accordion performance was nothing short of mesmerizing, demonstrating remarkable skill and flair far beyond his years. Their achievements not only reflect their individual brilliance but also serve as a testament to the outstanding music education provided by Leman International School. As global ambassadors of musical excellence, Jenney and Moosa have left an indelible mark on the world stage, inspiring aspiring musicians everywhere to reach for their dreams. 

Year 6 girl choir enchanted audiences with their heartfelt rendition of the original song "Seasons Turn to Seasons." With voices harmonizing in perfect unity, they captured the essence of transition and transformation, evoking emotions that resonated deeply with all who listened. From the gentle whispers of spring to the resounding crescendos of winter, each note carried with it a sense of grace and wonder.  

The grand finale of the morning erupted into a whirlwind of energy and enthusiasm as the entire ensemble came together for a spirited rendition of "We're All in This Together." With infectious rhythms and uplifting vocals, accompanied by mesmerizing dance moves and breathtaking gymnastics, the performance ignited the stage with a blaze of excitement.  Year 6 students delivered a show-stopping spectacle that brought the audience to their feet in thunderous applause. It was a moment of unity and celebration, showcasing the incredible talent and camaraderie of the Leman International School community. As the final chords reverberated through the air, there was a palpable sense of joy and togetherness, reminding everyone that no matter the challenges we face, we are stronger when we stand united.
