We are incredibly proud to share with you Chloe's recent fantastic achievements in ice skating. Chloe is a Year 6 student at Léman International School Chengdu. She joined our Léman community in 2018 and is now enjoying her third year studying here in LIS.

We spoke with Chloe’s parents, who told us that due to an RTI (respiratory tract infection), Chloe’s doctor suggested she take moderate exercise to contribute to her good health. Excitedly, Chloe chose figure skating! Chloe’s parents agreed and thought figure skating is such a great sport, especially for developing children’s confidence and resilience. Chloe’s interest was sparked in figure skating and she found a true passion for it. After only half a year’s normal training, she participated in the Asian Figure Skating Challenge, which was held in Thailand, and won second place in the competition! What a great reward and a boost to her confidence! After this competition, Chloe became more active in training, developing her ability to face every tumble or fall, and now had the resilience to recover from them.

Afterwards, Chloe passed the Chinese National Figure Skating Free Skating Level 6 and Step Level 4.

In the past year, Chloe has participated in the Chengdu Youth Figure Skating Championship and won first place in the women's professional group. This is a remarkable achievement for her.

Although Chloe occasionally has to ask for leave from school to participate in competitions around the country, she kept on learning wherever she went. She always wants to keep up the same learning pace as her peers in class. Chole’s parents appreciate the great support and assistance from the school and teachers, as Chloe is always encouraged to “be ambitious”. This truly lets Chloe know there is no limits to what she can achieve in her future.

We love to share our student’s successes both in and out of school. Do get in touch and let us know what you have been doing recently!
