Vithya Anantaraja

Ms Anantaraja graduated with a BSc. in Molecular Biology & Biotechnology from University of Western Australia. After working as research assistant for three years, she trained as a teacher and obtained her teaching diplomas- CIDTT from University of Cambridge & DoES from College of Teachers. Then, she pursued her Master's in Education from University of Western Australia. 

Ms Anantaraja has Mathematics and Science educator experience across elementary, middle and high school levels before realizing she wants to focus on middle years. Anantaraja joined Dover Court in 2020, after teaching in a local primary school for two years.

Previously, she worked in different local schools as a Maths Olympiad Trainer for ‘gifted’ and talented students taking on the various Maths Olympiad competitions. Consecutively, she progressed to become a curriculum designer and developer, creating numerous teaching resources.

As a believer of lifelong learning, and a passionate Mathematics educator, Ms Anantaraja infuses love for learning in her students. In lessons, she cultivates student’s interest and engenders enthusiasm for Mathematics by exchanging knowledge in a fun manner. She uses various methods to conduct challenging and enriching classroom activities while catering to her learners’ needs. Thereby, pushing learners out of their comfort zones and enhancing their problem-solving and critical thinking skills which are transferrable beyond the field of Mathematics. 

Outside of school, Ms Anantaraja loves to explore new places and enjoys learning new things in different areas, to grow the expertise in her teachings as well as developing the skills in her hobbies, such as drawing, painting and bouldering.
