Victoria graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, before completing her PGCE in Primary Teaching at Liverpool Hope University.
Following her graduation, Victoria taught in both England and N.Ireland, working across the Primary age range. She then moved to Qatar where she has taught in a mixed International School, as well as an outstanding STEM school for girls. During her 8 years teaching in Qatar, Victoria has gained valuable experience as Head of Year and English Lead and has taught and led both KS1 and KS2 cohorts. She is excited to be joining us at Dover Court this coming academic year.
Victoria is passionate about improving learning for children and being involved in all areas of the school community. Her teaching philosophy is to maintain a safe and positive learning environment, where children feel confident to express their own ideas and to ask questions about their learning. She loves to plan and teach lessons that are fun, visual and hands-on so that children are engaged in their learning.
Victoria has led several activities for different age groups, including a singing club, an arts and crafts club, and a maths club. She has also supported the student council at her current school, helping to organise and lead weekly meetings, as well as school-wide events and fundraisers.
Outside of work, her hobbies include reading, traveling and taking part in sporting events. She loves visiting other countries and learning about different cultures and traditions. Some of her favourite places she has visited include Kenya, Sri Lanka and Iceland.
