Tess  Regado earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in Guidance and Counselling degrees from St. Scholastica’s College Manila, Philippines.  

Tess has worked at DCIS for several years. Prior to coming to Singapore, she was a special education teacher in the Philippines for four years. She also has experience working with infants, toddlers, teenagers and adults with special and exceptional needs. 

Following her graduation, Tess worked as a human resource practitioner handling recruitment, employee relations and training and development. In 1999 she decided to join the educational setting and worked as a college guidance counsellor and lecturer of psychology. This was also the year she was introduced to the exciting world of special education. In 2001, she began teaching children with special needs. She teaches academic subjects, social skills, life skills, behaviour modification and provides support and accommodation in the classroom. 

Tess was born and raised in Las Piñas City, Philippines. Having lived in Singapore for several years now she considers this country her second home. She was born into a family of educators who instilled in her a love of learning. The core of her teaching philosophy stems from her love of children, regardless of their differences. Tess believes in developing a relationship with her students based on respect, fun and a desire to succeed.
