Sophia Davidson graduated from The University of Nottingham with a BA in International Communications and went on to work for a large marketing agency in London. Having decided that media and business was not where her heart lay, she initially qualified as a PE teacher, graduating from the University of Buckingham with a PGCE in Physical Education.

Playing sports, as well as the benefits of sports for children, are a passion of Sophia’s. However, she decided to get involved with all aspects of the English curriculum, so boldly made the move to become a class teacher in a primary school in Nottingham.

Sophia loves bringing her creative flare to her lessons by providing memorable, and most importantly, personalised experiences for her students. She has worked in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, in both private and public schools in the UK, as well as teaching English as an additional language in Singapore.   Sophia was born in Singapore and her close family have taught in international schools in Singapore itself, as well as all over the world. She firmly believes Singapore is where she gained the ‘bug’ for travel and is thrilled to be back working in the country where she grew up, at such a prestigious school.

Sophia is a keen netball player, having played for large netball clubs in both London and Nottingham. She also enjoys watching sports, such as rugby, squash, and football, and she has a passion for travelling to new places and experiencing different cultures. Whenever she has time, Sophia loves to be creative too!
