Siobhan Groves

4D class teacher
Siobhan Groves

In the summer of 2008, Siobhan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Degree in Primary Education from the University of Greenwich. Siobhan has taught across all ages in Key Stages 1 and 2.

Following graduation, Siobhan spent five years working in a village school situated in the Kentish hillsides, where she was responsible for coordinating maths and ICT. She also led many extra-curricular activities, including movie maker club and rounders. In September 2013, Siobhan moved to one of the larger schools in Kent, where she was Art Coordinator and was appointed Leader of Year 4. Siobhan first joined Dover Court in 2016, teaching across lower Key Stage 2 and is returning back to school in August 2024, having completed maternity leave following the birth of her second daughter.

From an early age, Siobhan had a passion for history and as an adult she has travelled across four continents in search of deepening her knowledge and gaining different perspectives. She enjoys bringing history to life in the classroom in a fun and creative way.  As an educator, Siobhan aspires to instil a love of learning in her students, allowing them to become lifelong learners and encouraging them to be inquisitive learners too.

Outside of school, Siobhan is very keen to explore Southeast Asia, enjoys swimming and is a voracious reader. She is a huge Disney fan (favourite film: Mary Poppins!) and is now enjoying sharing this with her two daughters.
