Robert Nolan is an experienced and enthusiastic educator who graduated from St. Patrick's College, Dublin with a B.Ed. (Hons) in 2010. Throughout his teaching career, he has demonstrated a passion for learning and a commitment to providing enriching, meaningful and educational experiences for his students.

Having had the opportunity to practice his teaching across a range of diverse settings and classroom dynamics in Ireland, Mexico, and China, Robert has gained valuable teaching experience in a variety of unique cultural and educational landscapes. He has taught both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, employing a range of curricula to create engaging and effective learning opportunities for his students.

Robert actively engages with the school community and thrives in collaborative learning environments. In addition to his role as Year 6 class teacher, he has held the role of Primary English lead and relishes his current middle leadership role as Primary STEAM Lead at DCIS, actively promoting the development of our students’ collaboration, communication, critical and creative thinking skills. Robert has organised and facilitated extra-curricular activities such as digital art, manga, world languages, and STEAM clubs. Through these initiatives, he has motivated his students to explore their personal interests and achieve co-curricular success.

Motivated and creative, Robert is driven by his passion for all things STEAM, art, film, reading and fitness. He firmly believes in the importance of lifelong learning and personal growth. As such, he embraces new experiences and views challenges and mistakes as valuable opportunities for learning: a mindset he aims to encourage in his students. While fluent in Irish and proficient in Spanish, Robert aims to expand his language skills and intends to focus on Malay this coming academic year. This pursuit reflects his dedication to broadening his cultural awareness and global citizenship.
