Rhona Chapman

KS4RC form tutor
Rhona-Chapman

Rhona Chapman graduated from the University of Edinburgh having majored in English Literature and Language and went on to qualify as a teacher in Moray House College also in Edinburgh.

After a few years working in Glasgow Rhona found herself in the tropical climes of Brunei, initially teaching both technical and conversational English to Brunei Malay soldiers about to embark on training in the UK. This experience ensured that she knew the sequence of working with engines, flat tyres and Rapier missiles but not actually what they look like. After a few years break to bring up her family Rhona returned to the classroom working with students who require extra support.

Her interest in this area of teaching was furthered by a Masters in Inclusion and specialist qualifications both in Dyslexia and in supporting students who have English as a second language. She is passionate about providing a nurturing inclusive environment while challenging students to be the best they can be.

Outside of school, Rhona enjoys gardening, horse-riding, eating Asian food and has recently developed an interest in nurturing sourdough into bread.
