Ms Meredith completed both her BA, majoring in English and Women’s Studies, and Graduate Diploma of Education at the University of Western Australia.

After graduating and with an inclination for adventure, Ms Meredith chose to be randomly nominated to any rural or remote state school in WA, which landed her at Newman Senior High School on the edge of the Western Desert. In this small-town setting, she learnt how valuable it is interacting with students and their parents in the community as well as at school. As a result, Ms Meredith loves to find ways to encourage students to contribute positively to society and their well-being by supporting their endeavours outside the classroom. She has been a Bushranger leader, volleyball and swimming coach, and eager participant in any flash mob or dance performance.

After a few years working in Australia, Ms Meredith moved to international teaching with previous posts in Macau and China. Coming most recently from UWC Changshu, she gained valuable experience working in a residential school setting, providing pastoral care to students from diverse cultural backgrounds.

For fun, Ms Meredith spends a lot of time seeking out green spaces for long walks with her dog, cycling around new neighbourhoods, and hunting down the best places to eat.
