She has been teaching for 12 years and has a wealth of knowledge of Lower and Upper Key Stage 2, having worked in many excellent schools. During this time, Becky has also played a key role in school development through her roles of Wellbeing Leader across the whole school, championing wellbeing and mental health for students, staff and parents. She developed two excellent student leadership programmes that provide opportunities for Years 2 to 6 students to actively change and improve their school. Becky has successfully led Year 3 and Year 5 for the last 4 years and is delighted to be joining and leading Year 5 at Dover Court.

Becky prides herself on the learning environments she creates with her students to ensure learning is always fun, creative, and allows students to feel safe to challenge themselves and seek support. She enjoys creating learning opportunities outside of the classroom and helping her students learn important life skills through problem solving activities. Becky instils a sense of independence and pride in her students, so they feel confident to progress at their own pace. She has a keen interest in child-initiated learning, encouraging children to follow their own interests.

Becky is known for being active and enjoys being active in the school community. She has led several sports and clubs across Key Stages 2, 3 and 4 including rugby, touch rugby and football. As someone who likes to inspire her students to help others, Becky has been a key member of different community projects, including Friends of Ukraine – a community project that offers support and respite for Ukrainian refugees in Warsaw. Becky also loves music and dancing; performing in the teacher’s Bollywood Dance, Staff Talent show, Christmas Pantos in order to make her students laugh and smile. Becky has also been a proud member of her school’s staff touch rugby and football teams, competing yearly against students.

Having always wanted to see the world, Becky loves to travel and is slowly ticking off all the countries in the world. She loves to experience new cultures and derives great pleasure from bringing home the recipes of food she tried into her own kitchen. Becky is a keen sportswoman and loves to exercise regularly. She has previously played rugby for the KL Tigers Women, taken up boxing and has run 2 half marathons.
