Paul Sharma completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Sport and Physical Education before gaining his Primary PGCE at the University of Winchester.
Prior to completing his teaching qualification, Paul worked at a preparatory school in Dorset for two years teaching PE and delivering maths and English interventions. Upon gaining his teaching qualification he worked at an International British school in Qatar. Here he undertook various roles that included leading the School Council, coordinating PSHE in Key Stage 2 and coaching the Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 rugby teams.
Innovation and creativity are at the core of Paul’s teaching philosophy, and he is always looking for different ways to deliver purposeful and real-life learning that engages children and fills them with awe and wonder. Developing a culture of ambition and setting high expectations are also very important. Paul encourages and implements the concept of having a growth mindset, encouraging children to thrive on challenges and be inspired to continually grow and develop without limitations, both inside and outside the classroom.
Growing up in a military family, Paul has lived in several different countries, and this has sparked his love for travel and adventure. He enjoys an outdoor lifestyle and loves all sports, especially rugby. Paul is a self-confessed “foodie” and loves to cook and try different types of food.
