Matthew Pallas graduated with a BA (Hons) in Philosophy and Politics from the University of York and completed a PGCE in Primary Education at Goldsmiths, University of London.
After university, Matthew volunteered with a charity supporting adults with learning disabilities before working as a teaching assistant at a Secondary School in Manchester. This confirmed his desire to work in education. Since becoming a qualified teacher, Matthew has worked in schools in London, teaching across the Primary age range. In his previous school, he took on the role of English subject leader and acted as a mentor for teachers at the start of their careers.
Matthew strongly believes that all children can learn with the right support, and that we should never set limits on children’s achievement. He likes to create an environment in which children feel valued and have the confidence to try new challenges. Outside of school, Matthew has a strong interest in the theatre and as a student he performed at the Edinburgh Festival. He also loves to travel, explore new places and learn new languages. He enjoys swimming and yoga as ways to keep fit.
