Lois graduated from Oxford Brookes University, with BA (Hons) in Primary Education.
Following her graduation, Lois worked in a primary school in North Oxfordshire, teaching across Key Stage 2. During this time, she gained experience mentoring student teachers and early career teachers. After four years in the countryside, Lois moved to London and taught in an ‘outstanding’ primary school in Richmond across both Key Stage 1 and 2. There, she collaborated closely with senior leaders to develop the humanities curriculum for the whole school. She currently teaches at an ‘excellent’ independent school in Putney, in Key Stage 2. Throughout her years at her current school, Lois has been instrumental in leading and developing the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion program, creating a comprehensive plan to support this initiative school-wide. She is looking forward to sharing her experience at Dover Court.
Lois has a strong passion for teaching and believes learning should always been fun while challenging the children to achieve their best. She ensures all children in her class feel valued and encourages them to explore areas of interest and share their knowledge with their peers. By providing a creative and varied curriculum, Lois strives to make lasting memories for her students while developing a love for learning to continue throughout their lifetime. She encourages independent, resilient learners who respect each other and are never afraid to reach for their goals.
Lois has led several sports clubs for all ages including tag rugby, multi sports and yoga. Keeping fit is extremely important to her and she loves sharing this enthusiasm with the children by encouraging them to try new activities and lead a healthy lifestyle. Growing up in Hong Kong, Lois is excited to move back to Asia and continue to travel the world. She loves learning about different cultures, trying new foods and exploring new places. Away from the classroom, Lois enjoys participating in various sporting activities from long walks in nature to playing touch rugby matches with her friends. She is looking forward to a new adventure in Singapore.
