James-Lowe

James Lowe graduated from the University of Hull with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and followed this with completing a PGCE in Primary Education. After qualifying as a teacher, James pursued and completed his Masters degree in Education at the University of Bath.

Following his graduation, James has worked in a large, aspirational suburban school in the East Riding of Yorkshire. As well as developing his pedagogy at the school, his passion for health and sport provided him the opportunity to lead the school in achieving the Gold award for the National Schools Sports Quality Mark. Since working in the UK, James has worked across Asia in a variety of International schools, teaching across all age groups in primary education. Throughout his international experience, James has had a number of leadership roles with both academic and pastoral foci, such as his Head of Year role at the British School of Beijing and Head of Primary Mathematics at The British School of Kathmandu. James is delighted to be joining the team at Dover Court and becoming part of their outstanding provision for student success both in and out of the classroom.

James has led a range of sports clubs throughout his career as a primary teacher and was particular proud of coaching the Primary School FOBISIA teams at his last two schools, with both teams earning great success throughout. As a mathematics enthusiast, James has also been keen to run and support mathematical investigation clubs to support engagement in maths.

Throughout his teaching career, James has thoroughly enjoyed the opportunities to travel the world and experience its wonderful cultural diversity. James is always inspired by the next big challenge! He became fully immersed in the trekking and mountaineering culture when living in Nepal and has previously ran an ultra marathon. James enjoys trying to pick-up new skills such as juggling and he is particularly proud of his recent achievement in completing the Rubik’s cube.
