Hannah O'Brien

Hannah O’Brien studied a Bachelor of Primary Education at Australian Catholic University in Melbourne.  

She spent three years as a Primary teacher in a multicultural school in Melbourne, before moving into a specialist role teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL) to newly arrived refugee children. In 2018, Hannah moved to China, teaching Year 4 at another Nord Anglia school. In 2020, she moved to Singapore and joined Dover Court.

In China, Hannah was UNICEF co-ordinator where she demonstrated her commitment to address social and environmental issues. In this role she facilitated student-led initiatives, raising money for charity, and implementing a range of sustainable practices around the school. 

Hannah is an innovative teacher, passionate about creating an inclusive, interesting environment, where students feel accepted and inspired. She hopes to encourage students to strive towards building a more just and sustainable world. Outside of school, Hannah loves travelling and sport. She has played a range of sports, including running, swimming, and basketball. She also enjoys cooking and eating out with friends.
