Ms Haworth completed her degree in Biomedical Sciences at Newcastle University, England, before gaining her PGCE from Northumbria University through the Teach First Leadership Development Programme.
Ms Haworth taught in the North East of England for two years before joining the Science Department at Doha British School in Qatar. In this role, she has enjoyed developing schemes of work for the new IGCSE specifications, delivering the Biology IB Diploma Programme and running several science clubs. She is also passionate about improving students understanding of opportunities available to them after school and enjoys running school trips which encourage these. In the past she has led trips to Cambridge University, Durham Botanical Gardens and has led fieldwork in Qatar’s mangroves. Ms Haworth thoroughly enjoys witnessing student’s enthusiasm as they make links between their classroom learning and exciting opportunities available in the wider world.
Outside of the classroom, Ms Haworth is a keen dancer and enjoys visiting the theatre. She has several dance teaching qualifications ranging from Ballroom to Cheer dance. She is also passionate about travel and aims to visit as many of the exciting places surrounding Singapore, when possible.
