Deborah Joyes graduated from Lincoln University with a BSc degree in Sports Development and coaching and completed a PGCE in Primary Teaching at Bishop Grosseteste University.
Originally from Grimsby in the UK, Deborah’s teaching path has led her all around the world teaching in Lincolnshire, Qatar, Hong Kong and Singapore. She has taught a variety of different curriculums such as the British National Curriculum, IPC and PYP IB Curriculum.
Deborah has taught in Upper Primary Teaching Year 5 and 6 pupils. She has been a Year Leader in Qatar and was the Learning Lead for the IPC Curriculum. Deborah is an enthusiastic teacher and loves to create lots of student agency throughout all different parts of the curriculum. She believes in student voice to help guide individuals learning, scaffolding, and challenging where appropriate.
In her spare time, Deborah loves to spend time with her dog, taking him for long walks in different country parks and is a keen volunteer at dog shelters. She is an avid traveler, having spent time travelling all over Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. Deborah loves cooking, cycling and socialising with friends and family.
