Mrs Kothari grew up in Israel and graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. She completed her Masters in Marketing and Strategy from the University of Warwick and completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Education with distinction from the University of Nottingham, UK.

Mrs Kothari is passionate about making and has pursued fine art throughout her life. She has been a practicing portrait artist for the last decade partaking in various exhibitions and community projects while augmenting her skills with part time fine arts courses. She joined DCIS as an art technician in 2019 and found her passion for teaching Visual Arts and went on to complete her Post Graduate Certificate in Education.

Mrs Kothari wants her students to view Visual Arts as a way to create, express and communicate ideas with the world. She challenges her student’s perceptions on art and the world around them, while giving them to the tools to communicate their own thoughts. She believes by fostering curiosity, modelling a love for learning, and enabling them to make and reflect on mistakes, education can nurture students to become well rounded passionate individuals.

In her free time, Mrs Kothari likes to continue producing her own artwork, visiting galleries, and staying active through swimming and yoga.
