3/4K class teacher
Angela-Tsang

Angela Tsang graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, USA with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies, and received her Master of Education in Intellectual Disability/Autism and Early Childhood Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City.

Angela was born in Taiwan but spent her formative years as well as her tertiary education in the US. Angela’s firsthand account on witnessing biased practices towards individuals with special needs spurred her on to pursue training in special education, where her goal is to support individuals with special needs to utilize their voice to become self-advocates.

Angela’s first teaching experience was as a Special Education Itinerant Teacher in Manhattan, where she gained experience in early intervention and learning support in a Reggio Emilia approach Kindergarten classroom. Besides her experience in New York City, Angela also has been teaching in both local and international school settings in Singapore. Angela believes a cohesive partnership with other teachers and therapists benefits the students’ growth holistically, and actively seeks out new ways to embed individualized learning accommodations and differentiation strategies in the classroom. Angela also advocates for access to ABAR curriculum for all teachers and students.

In her free time, Angela enjoys reading Agatha Christie mysteries, exploring different forms of arts education, and having tea parties with her two daughters. As a strong supporter for diversity and inclusion, Angela also proactively attends workshops on anti-bias education in Singapore.
