This year, the Wolves made their debut in FOBISIA’s top division, representing Dover Court International School with incredible spirit, skill, and resilience. Competing against some of the best teams in the region, our athletes rose to the occasion, showcasing their talents and true sportsmanship.
The excitement was palpable during the opening ceremony as the games began. The weekend concluded with a fantastic hip-hop performance at the closing ceremony, bringing a fun and energetic end to an unforgettable tournament.
The Wolves took home an impressive 16 medals on the track and field. Norbert led with a powerful performance in the 300m, claiming silver, while Mika and Jonathan earned medals in the 100m and Triple Jump. Ava shone in the 800m, capturing silver, and Ana’s amazing run earned her a total of five medals. It was a phenomenal display of dedication, with each athlete giving their all.
In the pool, the Wolves continued their medal streak with nine medals. Leonardo led the charge with four medals, demonstrating strength and skill in each race. The swim team’s efforts highlighted our students' dedication and determination.
Both our boys’ and girls’ basketball teams placed 5th in the tournament, showcasing teamwork and perseverance. Highlights included Henry’s consistent play, Jobalo’s outstanding rebounding, and Charlotte’s first-ever Wolves points, which was a proud moment for her and the team.
Our football teams made an impressive impact, with the boys finishing fourth after a nail-biting semi-final match. The girls' team were the stars, emerging as one of the best teams in the tournament. They scored 15 goals and conceded only one throughout, securing silver after a close 1-0 loss in the final. Both teams were brilliant, with Rohan remarkable in goal and Maya, the tournament's top scorer, leaving her mark on the field.
This year's U15 FOBISIA Games were about more than just medals. Each student gained valuable experiences, formed lasting friendships, and grew both as an individual and a team member. Competing in the top division for the first time was no easy task, but our Wolves rose to the occasion, making lasting memories and forging friendships with students from other schools. Their energy, passion, and positive attitude made them outstanding ambassadors for Dover Court.
