Students studying the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) at Dover Court International School have once again performed significantly above the global average. The 2023 IBDP cohort is the largest in the history of the school. As a non-selective school, these results are a clear reflection of the outstanding personalised teaching taking place in the school.
A phenomenal 19% of the students scored 42 points or higher, providing access to the world’s very best universities, including King’s College London and Imperial College London. Among these students is Ji Yoon, who with a score of 43 points will attend Imperial College London to study Chemical Engineering.
“When I first joined Dover Court 9 years ago, I had to adjust to a new language, a new environment and a new culture. In the beginning of my journey, it was a bit challenging. However, the turning point for me was when I realised that there are many resources around me: teachers who are always eager to help, friends who are all coming from different places around the world, and so many experiences, both in the classroom and outside, that allowed me to achieve my best.” she said.
Principal Richard Dyer said: “These resilient and determined young people achieved an average point score of 35, an impressive 4.7 points higher than the world average. I would like to thank and pay tribute to the staff and parents who supported these young people to achieve their goals and go further than they dreamed possible.”
The DCIS academic team is distinguished by well qualified and experienced international teachers, specifically selected for their alignment with the school values and commitment to creating paths to success for all our students.
Head of Secondary Rachel Edwards shared: “As a truly inclusive international school, these achievements are even more remarkable and are built on our conviction that every student will succeed at Dover Court.
Thank you to all our Year 13 teachers for their commitment and energy, our Sixth Form team for their care and guidance, and to all who have nurtured, supported and challenged our young people over the years.”
Congratulations to the DCIS Class of 2023, we couldn’t be prouder of you!
