7CM first noticed the variety of nationalities in our form for UN day in Term 1. When we received the theme of global citizenship for our assembly, it seemed like a great opportunity to further celebrate our diversity.
7CM first noticed the variety of nationalities in our form for UN day in Term 1. When we received the theme of global citizenship for our assembly, it seemed like a great opportunity to further celebrate our diversity.
We collaborated, shared ideas and started discussing some of the stranger events and festivals from our home countries. Slowly the idea of a global festival tour began to emerge. This ideally allowed each student to participate equally, and take ownership of their sections of the tour. Every member of the form was proud to be representing their country and worked together outside of school hours to create scripts, videos and slide shows, costumes and more. All of the students showed fantastic maturity and dedication and it was a proud moment to see all their hard work come together last Friday.
