Last week, five Year 8 students took part in the Global Round of the World Scholar’s Cup in Kuala Lumpur.

The students spent the week competing with other students from around the world in a range of activities, most notably, the team debates. Outside of the competition, they also attended a scavenger hunt and a ball, getting the chance to meet and socialise with students from as far away as Canada, Kenya and Slovenia.

All five students did DCIS very proud, winning twelve medals between them, and of course, getting their companion Alpacas - the ubiquitous symbal of the World Scholar's Cup! One of our teams of three has also made it through to the Tournament of Champions, taking place at Yale University this autumn.

A huge congratulations to all the students!
