It was good to be back in the Secondary School this week. We observed Autism Awareness Day and Earth Day, and had our first Bachillerato Social Studies final presentation. Next week we continue our sprint to the end of the school year with final preparations for AP exams and Book Week (promote reading with your students!).
The Secondary students started a video competition to identify opportunities where small changes can result in increasing circular economy at CDS. On Thursday, April 27th, we will be holding an assembly for our Secondary students. During this event, Zero Waste Costa Rica, along with our Zero Waste student club leaders, will share what CDS has accomplished so far on the road towards Zero Waste. They will also present the results of the waste audit conducted on April 18th, which helped us assess our current status and set a goal for the upcoming year. Additionally, we will have a guest speaker from Ríos y Cuencas, who will talk about their work in promoting circular economy. Finally, Social Impact Leads will be announcing the winner of the video competition and the results of the Reducing Waste @ CDS Challenge!
