BSB Students attending NAE-UNICEF Summit in New York!

We are delighted to announce that we are planning for BSB Shunyi students to once again have the opportunity to attend the NAE-UNICEF Student Summit in person this July in New York!

This is a unique opportunity exclusive to students studying at BSB and other Nord Anglia schools. In collaboration with our partners at UNICEF, we offer a transformational education to BSB students, which focuses not only on ensuring academic success but also on inspiring students to positively impact their local communities and the world at large.

Student Ambassadors who represent BSB Shunyi at the summit will have the chance to participate in workshops led by UNICEF together with NAE students across the globe. They will demonstrate the actions that our school are taking to tackle the United Nation’s Global Goals for sustainable development, and take back what they have learnt from this memorable and inspiring experience to share with all BSB students.

Tentative Events include United Nations tour, workshops led by UNICEF, workshops led by World’s Largest Lesson, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Student Conference and excursions to visit New York City landmarks etc.

In fact, BSB Shunyi students have been attending the NAE-UNICEF Student Summit in New York three years in a row before the pandemic and have taken important roles in each of the events.

For example, BSB Shunyi students Sabrina in 2017 and Edward in 2018 have the honour of being selected as 1 of the 4 students representing all NAE students in the respective years to speak at the United Nations High Level Political Forum (HLPF). The audience included the President of the UN General Assembly, UNICEF Executive Director, and UN ambassadors and delegate from different countries.
