October News from German Primary School

The school year in German Primary School (GPS) at BSB Shunyi has got off to a great start.

Right after we got together, 6 students were brave enough to run for Primary Student Council and gave a speech to all the GPS students.

We then voted in an interesting way. One student from GK2 and one student from GK4 were chosen to form the Student Council with other students from Year Groups 3 to 6.

"GPS sings" is our ongoing event every other week and we learned great autumn songs and a canon and also practiced our own GPS song. 

Another activity that takes place throughout the school year is our GPS Reading Tree! Here the children can attach book summaries of German books that they have read at home on the Tree. There are, of course, paw point rewards for the diligent readers and writers. 

We are looking forward to more great GPS campaigns in the Christmas season!

GPS und ihre Events

Das Schuljahr in der GPS an der BSB lief toll an. Wir haben uns gleich in den ersten Tagen versammelt und 6 Schüler waren so mutig, für den Student Council zu kandidieren und eine Rede vor allen GPS-Schülern zu halten. Mit einer lustigen Art und Weise haben wir dann abgestimmt. Es wurden eine Schülerin aus der GK2 und ein Schüler aus der GK4 gewählt, die mit anderen Schülern der Yeargroup 3 bis 6 den Student Council bilden.

Dann ist unsere 2wöchige Aktion "GPS singt" gestartet und wir haben schon tolle Herbstlieder und einen Kanon gelernt und auch unser eigenes GPS-Lied geübt.

Eine weitere Aktion, die über das ganze Schuljahr stattfindet, ist unser GPS-Lesebaum! Hier können die Kinder Buchzusammenfassungen über deutsche Bücher anheften, die sie zu Hause gelesen haben. Für die fleißigen Leser und Schreiber gibt es natürlich Paw-Point-Belohnungen.
