Principal's Update 17 August, 2021 - Principal Update 17 August 2021
Return to Campus Documents and 14 Day Health Record

Dear Parents,

The start of term is fast approaching and we are looking forward to welcoming you all!  In the run up to our first day, there are some new government requirements that need to be satisfied before your children can enter the campus.

Further to my update on 6th August, please see below the documents required by the local authorities. Students will need to hand this to our team before entering our school. Thank you for your patience and support.

The type of documents required depends on whether the students are currently in Beijing and whether they have visited any Medium/High Risk areas.

Situation A:

The student has not left Beijing from 23rd June, 2021 to 1st September, 2021 OR

if the student has left Beijing but has already returned to Beijing before 12th August and has not visited any Medium/High Risk areas. The student only needs to submit the following 2 documents:

  1. Health Declaration
  2. BSB SY Student and Co-residents 14 Day Health Record

Situation B:

The student does not belong to the above Situation A, ie. the student returned to Beijing on/after 12th August, OR they have been to Medium/High Risk areas, then the student needs to submit the following 3 documents:

  1. Health Declaration
  2. BSB SY Student and Co-residents 14 Day Health Record
  3. A printed copy of the student’s negative Nucleic Acid Test dated within 48 hours of the return to school date

Things to note about the documents:

1. Health Declaration

  • Parents need to indicate clearly which of the above situations applies to their child.
  • Please print, complete and sign this form and give it to the student to bring back to school.

2. BSB SY Student and Co-residents 14 Day Health Record

  • For new students and Years 7, 10 and 12 students who will be back on Wednesday 1st September for Welcome Morning/Orientation Day, the 14-day record should start on Wednesday 18th August.
  • For students who will return on Thursday 2nd September the first day of school, the 14-day record should start on Thursday 19th August.
  • For students who will return to campus at a later date, please start recording 14 days prior to your actual return-to-campus date.

3. A printed copy of the student’s negative Nucleic Acid Test dated within 48 hours of the return to school date

  • It is acceptable for the test to be dated on/after 28th August.
  • But for students returning on/after 3rd September, the Test must be dated within 48 hours of the return to school date.
  • A printed copy of the result screenshot is also acceptable.

Students must submit a printed copy of the required documents when they get on the school bus or at the gate of the campus. Students who do not have the documents will be unable to board the school bus or enter the school.

We would encourage all BSB families to limit their travel and not leave Beijing or go to medium/high risk areas unless absolutely necessary.

If you have any questions or concerns, please email studentsurvey@bsbshunyi.com or contact the school and we will be happy to help. We are looking forward to seeing you all soon.
