When our students started their journey towards their IGCSE qualifications 2 years ago, no one could have predicted the world events that have occurred. The challenges last academic year has been immense. Our students have had to deal with the campus closure and learning a completely new way of learning. Time management, independent learning and self-reliance (along with time differences and internet connections!) have been just some of the difficulties our students have faced.
This makes it all the more delightful for us to be able to announce our IGCSE exam results for this year. We are extremely proud of all our students and these results reflect their dedication and hard-work. It is also extremely satisfying to know that all the efforts of our staff and teachers to create and provide our online learning platform was worthwhile and helped our students to be able to reach their potential despite everything happening in their lives.
In 2020, our students have achieved incredible results again, including:
Every year, we have students performing to exceptional levels of attainment. To achieve an A*/A grade in a subject is a fantastic achievement. To achieve that result across multiple subjects is phenomenal and there are few students in the world that can accomplish this.
In BSB this year, there were 10 students who achieved 8 or more A*/A grades in their subjects. This truly puts them amongst the best students in the world.

We are very proud of all our students' achievements. Each of them has come through difficult times to reach their potential. They should all be proud of everything they have achieved so far and can move into the next phase of their education knowing that they have given themselves the best possible start.
There is no doubt that this is a team effort. The students are front and centre and deserve every bit of praise we can give them. We want to also acknowledge all the people that helped them on their path to success. The efforts and personal attention of their teachers, the support and encouragement from their parents and the spirit of care that the students gave to each other.
Elise Ecoff, Group Head of Education, said: “We’re so proud of these fantastic IGCSE results, which are testament to the hard work of our students and the commitment of our amazing teachers. Our aim is to ensure every NAE student reaches their full potential and is equipped with the skills, knowledge and mindset they need to thrive.”
It is a wonderful achievement for everyone and it is heart-warming to be able to bring such good news. It is also exciting to think just what these students may go on to achieve in their IB courses and beyond.
