Year 2 have gone medieval-mad as part of our Topic and have absolutely had a blast (or a trebuchet…)!
We have enjoyed learning all about castles and exploring what to do if your keep is attacked by an enemy force. We have also built our own miniature catapults and used scientific predictions to test the range of a variety of different projectiles.
Currently, we are using our scientific knowledge of materials and our historical knowledge from this topic to design and build model castles complete with battlements, turrets and working drawbridges which have been fantastic! Now, where were those trebuchets…?
