Join our Open Morning for Years 1 and 2
On Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th June, the Performing Arts department hosted our final showcase of the academic year ‘Kaleidoscope’. With a theme of colours, we were entertained by an eclectic range of performances, from ‘Sing a Rainbow by Arthur Hamilton’ performed by our youngest performers to ‘Enter Sandman from Metallica’ performed by some of our older students, there really was something for everyone. Both evenings ended with a finale involving all Choirs, Orchestra, Funk Band and the Secondary Gymnastic Display in an epic performance of Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’.
We had 170 students from Year 1-12 involved and our BISB students have highlighted over the past few evenings how their hard work, discipline and dedication has led to the fantastic creative collaborations the audiences were able to enjoy. Our students have shared their unique personalities through their exciting, diverse and creative performances and whilst as Performing Art teachers we value their creative contributions daily, performances like these further emphasize their ability to communicate and express themselves through their artistic discipline, whilst fostering relationships and shared experiences with their peers across the school. The results of this are clear in the fantastic performances that have entertained us this week. A huge well done to all the students, for their hard work this academic year. The Performing Arts team are already looking forward to what next year holds.
