DVAC U14 Boys A pool Football Festival
Huge congratulations to our U14 Boys Football team for their amazing performances over the course of the Festival day here at BISB last Saturday. Six teams participated in this DVAC season-opening event: three arriving from Vienna and another three taking part from local international schools.
Our novice Middle School (U14) boys coached by Mr Gibson represented our school with pride and demonstrated a mature attitude and an impeccable level of sportsmanship in every minute of the event. Despite being at a very high level of competition, our squad showed bravery, performed a disciplined tactical play and proved to be outstanding ambassadors of the British International School Budapest.
The team keeps training hard to prepare for the DVAC tournament in early November as well as the Nord Anglia Global Games Europe (NAGGE) Football & Basketball Tournament here at BISB in March.
Go WOLVES!

The U19 Boys Football Team enjoyed the recent DVAC Festival at AISB and used the event to refine their tactical understanding of the 11-a-side version of the game. There were some fine results for both the A and B teams and they both showed tenacity and teamwork. Younger players in the B Team showed that the team has a bright future, and the A team played some wonderful flowing football in their 6-2 win over DISV with goals being scored by Bardhyl, Benji, Alexei, Bruno and Rob.
In 7-a-side the boys remain unbeaten, and they enjoyed an emphatic 10-1 victory against Britannica on Monday. Four goals were scored by Benji, Alexei scored a hat trick, Nic scored two and Tian scored one. I was also pleased to see some excellent assists from Bruno and a solid defensive performance from Rob and Adam at the back. We go to Prague this weekend for the 7-a-side NAGGE tournament and if we can reproduce some of our best football there is every chance of success!
