Our U14 girls welcomed Barcelona Academy during Friday's match on the 13th May, creating a buzz of excitement between the players, coaches, parents and students. This was evident by the number of people who came to cheer on the Wolves and Barcelona Academy teams.
The nerves quickly dissipated like the rain and with each minute that passed, the girls grew in confidence. The game finished 7-0 to the Wolves, with Lena (Year 9) scoring three goals, Veerle (Year 8) scoring two goals, and Emma (Year 9) and Katie (Year 8) both scoring one goal each.
We are extremely proud of the girls, they did brilliantly to keep the pressure on the opposition for the full game, but we also feel that there are elements of our game that we can build on in future training sessions. We look forward to a return match on their pitch on Friday 3rd June.
