Last week was Humanities Week and what a week it was. The Trading Game was back with a bang, with students and staff making investments and navigating the global markets.
Huge congratulations to Year 8 Calypso who beat their older and more seasoned competitors to bring home the trophy this year. Year 12/13 Discovery came second place and Mr Turner came third. Karen and Yuexi also composed a beautiful song inspired by the environment for Earth Day.
Students learned about the world around them through speech making, the I Spy Budapest challenge and the Roots and Shoots “Plastic not so Fantastic” campaign. We also learned about Doughnut Economics with a competition designed by our prefects and the Economics Club.
We will end with a quote from Michelle Obama to congratulate our winners and commend our participants.

Following the postponement of Journey’s End before Christmas, we are pleased to announce the new dates.
Year 9 have been showing their green fingers/thumbs by trying to germinate cress seeds under various conditions, to see what is important for the seed growth.
There was more basketball on Saturday. This time our U14 Girls A and B teams had their DVAC Festival here at BISB.
