Although we have passed the half way point, there is still time for students and families to get involved in our Rainbow Challenge. If by chance you are yet to be convinced, improved circulation, memory and brain function, healthier hair, skin, nails and enhancements to eyesight and the immune system are just a selection of benefits brought about by eating a range of fruit and vegetable colours. Here you can see just a selection of some of our students participating in the challenge, both at school and at home.
There are lots of ways you can support your children in achieving this including: healthy snacks at break and lunch time, encouraging them to eat from the salad bar in the Dining hall and even family visits to food halls, markets and grocery stores to pick up, see, smell and taste fruit and vegetables which are rarely, if ever, are included in your weekly shopping.
Don’t forget to complete the Rainbow Challenge Card Template. Students need to record at least 1 fruit or vegetable from each colour group over the course of 1, 2 or 3 weeks. A colour may be repeated on the 7th day each week given there are only 6 colour groups. However, the fruit or vegetable recorded should not be a repeated!

There are three levels of challenge available to all Primary students.
