Dr. Hill’s experience in numerous educational systems globally, including the British, American and Australian systems, ideally places him to drive the progression of the educational offering in Nord Anglia Education’s 41 international schools around the world.
Dr. Hill will lead Nord Anglia Education’s global Education Team to ensure that the schools' educational practice, curricula and programmes are second to none. Comprising senior education experts, the team provides specialist support to schools, and leads best practice and continuous improvement programmes informed by the latest thinking in teaching and learning.

With over 45 years’ experience in the education sector, Dr. Hill’s extensive career spans numerous educational systems, including the UK, USA, Australia, and Hong Kong.
Most recently, he was the founding Chief Executive of the Australian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (ACARA). In this position he played a key role in the development of a national curriculum, the administration of a national assessment program and creation of the ground-breaking My School website. Prior to this, he was Secretary General of the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority, where he coordinated a number of initiatives to reform senior secondary certification.

Previous roles have also included: Director of Research and Development at the National Centre on Education and the Economy in the US, head of the Victoria Department of School Education, Professor of Education at the University of Melbourne, in addition to consulting projects and advising on system reform in Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, UK and the USA.
