In July we, two of our talented pupils, Luca and Flora, went to the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (RCS) in Glasgow to join the ‘Acting for camera’ summer camp course.

In the last academic year, the PTA organised a charity gala evening for fundraising to support the Igazgyöngy Foundation. Igazgyöngy's primary goal is to help poor and underprivileged children.

One of our major projects for the summer was a revamp of our Bistro, a popular social hub for our community. The new design and aesthetics have been very well received by our students, staff, and parents. Coupled with that, there’s a completely new menu on offer along with a new managing team. A fantastic set of IGCSE results for BISB in 2024. Even more so considering this was our largest cohort and it’s been our best set of results for A*-A. Well done to our students and many congratulations.

There was a fun packed programme for the secondary students remaining on-site, which followed the 5 Co-Curricular strands. Students were immersed in languages, film-making, STEAM activities and cooking. They learned about children's rights and advocacy, and showed their creative talents through artwork. It has been a very memorable end of the primary journey for our Year 6 students. This last week of term has been jam packed. On Monday and Tuesday, the students performed the end of year production of ‘Olivia’, on Tuesday morning, there was a year group water fight and on Wednesday afternoon, they finally graduated with a special ceremony.
As a community, we've been actively promoting healthy eating habits through our weekly articles about life in the kitchen. With the summer holidays just a few days away and the heatwave this summer, we must all be more mindful of our fluid intake.
Year 5 recently concluded their study of World War II with a fantastic exhibition for their parents.
