Last Friday, the MUSE Team interviewed the new Head of Secondary, Ms Amy Murphy for our upcoming spring edition. Through this interview, we got to know our new head of secondary better as she enters our school community.
Continuing with the topic of Chemical Reactions, and looking at acids and alkalis specifically, Year 7 students learnt how to make indicators from fruits and vegetables.
Next Thursday and Friday, the Social Impact Student Union (SISU) will be holding a fair to showcase the social impact work that’s been happening across the Secondary school so far this year.
Our Primary students have been busy over the last few weeks creating a snood for a child in need. Many of the students did not know how to knit but persevered until they finally did it! There were over 20 scarves made in Primary and several Secondary students also helped out.
The Early Years students have had an exciting end to Term 1. They have enjoyed lots of festive activities such as baking gingerbread and decorating their cookies. They also made beautiful hanging decorations to sell to raise money for our charity.
In Year 10 iGCSE German this week, students have been putting their debating skills to use, discussing the pros and cons of school uniform ('Schuluniform').
This year, some of the Year 12 students, as part of their CAS project, have teamed up with the Menedékház Charity for a Christmas charity appeal. The Menedékház Charity specialises in helping unhoused, young children from troubled or unfortunate backgrounds, and helping families through difficult situations.
