Exciting Times Ahead for the 2024-2025 Academic Year at BCB

As we approach the start of a brand-new academic year at BCB, the excitement is palpable! We are thrilled to welcome a wave of new expat teachers who will further enhance our already exceptional curricula. With their visas approved, these educators are eagerly preparing to join our community and will be here to meet everyone on Induction Day, August 9th. 

We have 9 new expat teachers coming all the way from the England, USA, Netherlands, Ireland and even Iran. That’s 7,638 miles from Brazil. Can you imagine that? Amazing! 

This year, we are also welcoming a diverse group of new students. We already have 80 new students from 15 different nationalities so far, including Brazil, the United States, the UK, Portugal, Japan, China, South Korea, Argentina, Panama, Venezuela, Mexico, France, Colombia, Sweden, and Spain! CF will see 50 new faces, while CJ will welcome 30 new students.

In addition to these exciting changes, we have significant renovations, already ongoing, to improve our facilities and enhance the learning environment for our
students. This commitment, promised by Nord Anglia, ensures that we continue to improve our setting until we acquire the structure we need. These include:

- Covering the secondary ping pong area with lighting.
- Installing a new tiled surface for the basketball court, identical to the one at Palmeiras training ground. Note: flat shoes only, no metal studs or heels!
- Equipping all secondary classrooms with new projectors.
- Installing new interactive projectors and boards in every primary classroom.
- Upgrading the hall sound system and projector.
- Adding a new projector in the CJ Hall.
- Replacing internal doors and windows in the primary section.

We are excited about these enhancements, about the growing of our academic staff and student body, and we can’t wait to see you all in what promises to be one of the best BCB Academic Years to date!
