Places available in our Primary for children aged 6-10!
Happy New Year to all our families and a special warm welcome to all the new members of our community.
At The British School Warsaw, we are proud of our diverse community and I am delighted to share that our new students, arriving over the first 3 weeks of term, comprise of 18 different nationalities! From Canada to Japan, Denmark to Chile, Rwanda to Germany, this wide range of cultures, experiences, beliefs and languages brings such a wonderful mix and help us all to become truly internationally minded, global citizens.
The start of a new year often brings new energy and new plans for the year ahead. In Primary, it has been exciting to hear about new IPC topics which have certainly sparked curiosity in our young learners. I was delighted to have the opportunity to fine dine with our Year 3 students today and was introduced to the wonderful world of chocolate! In the Secondary School, students in Year 11 and Year 13 have been involved in revision classes to prepare for the mock exams which will take place next week. These are very important indicators as to how students are performing and to identify areas for further instruction.
This term we are continuing to facilitate the COVID vaccinations through the clinic adjacent to the school and will send a survey shortly to see how many students from age 5 to 11 have now had 2 doses. Please contact Liz if you would like any further information about how to register for these. Following our hygiene rules, mask wearing and social distancing when possible, our aim is still to minimize risk whilst continuing to deliver a full educational programme. Our LEAP activity programme will start again next week and we have seen high levels of interest in our wide and varied offer.
I look forward to meeting many of you over the coming weeks.
