We are celebrating the coronation of the new king of England, King Charles III, through several activities across both campuses.
This is a historic occasion for the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth as we witness a new chapter in the British monarchy.
As the longest-serving heir apparent in British history, King Charles III is well-prepared to take on the role of monarch. He has been actively involved in public life for decades, championing various causes, including the environment, architecture, and education. His commitment to charitable work has earned him a reputation as a compassionate and dedicated leader.
King Charles III has already expressed his desire to focus on issues related to sustainability and climate change, and we can expect him to continue to champion causes that are close to his heart. This is an exciting time for us to witness a monarch who is committed to making a positive impact on the world.
We also cannot forget the significant contributions of Queen Elizabeth II, who has been a steadfast and beloved monarch for over 70 years. Her reign has seen tremendous change and upheaval, but she has remained a symbol of stability and continuity throughout.
As we celebrate the coronation of King Charles III, let us honour the legacy of his mother and look forward to a new chapter in British history.
There will be lots of discussion about the new King of England and his role across the school. On Wednesday, our school lunch menus will include some traditional British dishes for everyone to enjoy. Alongside this, Primary classes will celebrate the occasion with a variety of parties, with Primary and High School students and teachers wearing red, white and blue. To add to the festive feel of this historic event, both campuses have been festooned with British flags and decorations which will add to the atmosphere as we wait for the day of the crowning of the new King.
This week, our school will be celebrating the coronation of the new king of England, King Charles III, through several activities across both campuses.
