Friday brought the return of the Year 7, 8 and 9 students back from their residential experiences. There were a lot of tired faces, but everyone seemed to have hFriday also saw the return of the Year 7, 8 and 9 students back from their residential experiences. There were a lot of tired faces, but from the moment they disembarked from their buses, these young adventurers began regaling their waiting parents with stories about all the exciting and fun-filled activities they had participated in all week. They really appreciated the opportunity to go away with their friends and teachers, share new experiences, and see each other in a different light. These residentials offered everyone the chance to develop friendships and create everlasting memories of this time at St Andrews.
I must say a huge thank you to all the High School teachers' efforts on these residentials, which while plenty of fun, also demands a tremendous amount of hard work and time away from home.
As part of the St Andrews Careers programme, Year 10 and Year 12 students had the valuable opportunity to hear from 20 industry professionals, including alumni, about various career pathways. The morning panel discussions provided insights into professional routes, required qualifications, and essential interpersonal skills for workplace success.
As Term 3 comes to an end, three senior students, Eleonore, Natalie, and Ananya, reflect on their experiences in the IB Diploma Programme at St Andrews International School Bangkok. Perhaps one of the most meaningful projects Ananya and Natalie took on during their senior studies was starting a foundation with a few other friends called Today4tomorrow – an initiative to provide opportunities to underprivileged girls in Thailand.
